African lion - The Painting

From the moment I started this painting I just knew it was going to be something special! The mixture of Blue / Crimson shadows and the golden light - it seemed to almost paint itself and I even completed it in record time - I just couldn't put my brushes down I was so excited - it was just like reading a fantastic novel, I was eager to see the final pages, but also didn't want it to end.

I hope you think I have done the king of the cats justice with this portrait.
